  • ** RE: 2014 mid-year update: CRA did NOT publish an update for July 1, 2014 as there were no announced changes to required federal or provincial payroll withholding tax calculations. However, CRA subsequently announced changes to province of Ontario income tax rates and income thresholds for payrolls effective September 1, 2014.

  • webTOD's date calendar functions will not work with Internet Explorer version 10. We recommend using a previous version of IE (e.g. IE9) or alternatively, a different web browser - e.g. Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari.
  • If you have pop-up blocker software installed on your web browser, you may need to enable pop-ups for our web site (metca.com). webTOD uses a Javascript function to open a new browser window for displaying payroll deduction calculation results, which may be prevented by pop-up blocker software. If webTOD is not displaying a new window when you click on the 'Calculate' button, it is most likely due to pop-up blocker software installed on your system.
webTOD calculates Canada Pension Plan (CPP); Employment Insurance (EI); and federal, provincial and territorial (including Quebec) tax deductions for all pay periods and will allow you to print out a simple Payroll Advice showing your deduction calculations in a clear and easy-to-understand format.

You can use webTOD as an alternative to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) T4032 Payroll Deduction Tables and T4008 Payroll Deductions Supplementary Tables, or as an alternative to the CRA Payroll Deductions Online Calculator (PDOC). Use webTOD to calculate Canadian payroll tax deductions on regular salary & wages, pension income, bonuses, retroactive pay increases and/or commission income payments.

Why use webTOD? Simple - it's easier and quicker to use than looking up deduction amounts in the CRA Payroll Deduction Tables, and provides a more comprehensive, intuitive and user-friendly interface than PDOC. webTOD will also calculate Quebec payroll deductions, while CRA PDOC does not include calculations for Quebec.

webTOD runs in any popular (Javascript-enabled) web browser - so in most cases the only software you need is the web browser you already have installed! We update webTOD for changes in payroll deduction rates and formulas for you - so you never need to worry about whether you have the up-to-date version installed. webTOD is usually updated, as tax changes occur, for January 1 and July 1 each year.

Interested? Why not try it out?  It's free, it's easy, it's quick and it's accurate.

We hope you find webTOD a useful and effective tool. We welcome any feedback, comments, and suggestions regarding webTOD, so please feel free to contact us.
